Off to a new home

Au Naturel exhibit at the JCC opening Nov 3, 2:00pm- 3:30pm

The Tucson Jewish Community Center presents Au Naturel by the Sonoran Plein Air Painters during their Fine Art Gallery Season. Summer in South Haven

I often spend my summers in South Haven, Michigan.  Visiting family blueberry farm, spending time with my grandkids !! Catching up with family and old friends is high on my list and of course a little painting, Lake Michigan Bluffs- Pilgrim Haven Preserve 11" x 14" oil Irrigation Ditch for the Cranberry beds 8" x 10" oil  

Atmosphere

 Different weather conditions change the way I view a scene. This year we had many stormy days and also some peaceful evenings.   I find both intriguing to paint. Patagonia Evening 12" x 16" oil $400 Winter Storms 20" x 16" oil $500

Palm trees

Agua Caliente is like an oasis in the Sonoran Desert. Most of the palm trees have never been trimmed and are "bearded". A couple of years ago a section burned after a lightening strike. Sonoran Plein Air Painters had a series of PaintOuts in Patagonia, AZ.   The Patagonia Historical Society  is hosting a show of our paintings  that runs through April 30, 2024. Paint Arizona Day 2024

I had the privilege of acting as Ambassador for Paint Arizona Days.  My post was Sabino Canyon Recreation Area in Tucson.  We had 8 painters participate at our site.  The hikers on the trail enjoyed watching and chatting with all of the artists. I had time to paint a couple of quick studies, though I spent most of my time engaging with the park visitors. Sabino Canyon
