 I summer in a small lake town on the west side of Michigan.   The colors are different. The atmosphere is often heavy with humidity.  And this year the smoke from the Canadian wildfires have changed the color of the sky.  I had the privilege of painting with the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan at one of my favorite spots-Pilgrim Haven Preserve.  What a talented group of painters. The creek that empties into lake Michigan 9" x 12" oil  Available Lake Michigan Study 9" x 12" oil  Available

  A fter arriving in Michigan, the smoke from the Canadian fires surrounded us.  So I took some studio time to paint from a favorite photo I took when visiting Monument Valley. Exploring Monument Valley 24" x 30" oil Available
