Studio Work

 I have spent some studio time working on larger pieces.
 Often these are from my smaller studies made on location.   
 Sonoran Plein Air Painters were invited to paint at the annual Empire Ranch Trail Ride last spring.  

 

  This large painting is from photos I took of the participants
 and studies I did of the landscape.

Summer in South Haven, Michigan

 I summer in a small lake town on the west side of Michigan.   The colors are different. The atmosphere is often heavy with humidity.  And this year the smoke from the Canadian wildfires have changed the color of the sky.
