By the Pond

 I spent a few afternoons painting with an old friend at a pond near my house. 
I painted two very quick studies  and spent a lot of time just catching up on our lives.

Summer in South Haven, Michigan

 I summer in a small lake town on the west side of Michigan.   The colors are different. The atmosphere is often heavy with humidity.  And this year the smoke from the Canadian wildfires have changed the color of the sky.
