Painting at Picacho Peak



A few weeks ago I spent a wonderful morning painting at Picachco Peak State park.
The flowers were beginning to bloom but what caught my attention were the overpowering cliffs and the green stripes running down from them.

Summer in South Haven, Michigan

 I summer in a small lake town on the west side of Michigan.   The colors are different. The atmosphere is often heavy with humidity.  And this year the smoke from the Canadian wildfires have changed the color of the sky.
